On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, traditionally celebrated on December 5, four specialists of the Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation SHCHEDRIK” were solemnly awarded for their active public position and significant contribution to the development of the volunteer movement, especially in the field of supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) under martial law.
The leadership of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration (OVA) expressed high appreciation for their tireless work, presenting them with Certificates of Honor and Gratitude.
The award ceremony took place right in the middle of the working process. The awards to the specialists of “SHCHEDRIK” were presented by the Deputy Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Oleksandr Traitli and the Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Mykolaiv OV Oksana Yelchiyeva.
The award was awarded for an active public position, significant personal contribution to the development of the volunteer movement, and providing volunteer assistance to internally displaced persons during martial law.
“Each of you is an example of true resilience and compassion. Your work, especially in such difficult times, is invaluable to our region and to thousands of people in need of help. You are a reliable rear and driving force of our volunteer sector,” said Alexander Trytly during the award ceremony.

After the award ceremony, representatives of the Shchedryk Military Organization expressed deep gratitude to the regional military administration for the high appreciation of their activities and fruitful cooperation.
“We are sincerely grateful to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the entire leadership for such high recognition of our work. These awards are not only our merit, but also an incentive to work even harder,” says Lina Bondarchuk, Executive Director of the Shchedryk Military Organization.

Separately, the entire organization team expressed gratitude for the constant and constructive cooperation with the regional military administration. Thanks to joint efforts and coordinated interaction, we provide prompt assistance to the most vulnerable categories, including our internally displaced persons.

Today’s award ceremony was a clear demonstration that the volunteer movement in the Mykolaiv region is a powerful support during martial law, and cooperation between public organizations and the authorities is the key to successfully overcoming humanitarian challenges.
