The ‘Shchedryk’ Charitable Organisation, in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), is launching the ‘Support for Early Recovery in Rural Areas’ project. As part of this project, you will be able to receive financial assistance of US$400 (17,700 hryvnias as of June 2026).

Aid will be provided in the following areas:

  • Plant growing – horticulture and agriculture, including kitchen gardens, small-scale field production, greenhouses, etc.
  • Animal husbandry – pigs, poultry, cows, egg production, purchase of feed and other small-scale livestock farming.

We currently plan to implement the programme in Snihurivka region (specifically in the villages). However, subject to the availability of resources, the provision of support may be extended to other communities.

Who can apply?

To participate, you must be motivated and capable of farming, and must meet at least one of the following vulnerability criteria:

  • be a permanent resident of one of the programme’s participating settlements.
  • belong to one of the vulnerable categories (single-parent families; people with disabilities; people aged 60+; large families; low-income households; IDPs and others).
  • have the ability or experience to engage in small-scale farming (crop or livestock farming).
  • have basic skills or a willingness to learn.

We will announce the start of the survey at a later date.

This project also provides business grants for entrepreneurs working in the food sector or related fields. You are eligible to apply if you live in one of the following communities: Snihurivka, Shevchenkivka, Shyroke, Zavodska (Pervomaiska) and Berezneguvatka.

Main types of support:

  • Grants ranging from US$1,500 to US$5,000 (approximately 67,000 to 223,000 hryvnias) – for existing businesses or start-ups in the food sector.
