On Monday, October 27, all of Ukraine celebrated Ukrainian Writing and Language Day. Therefore, for the third year in a row, the team of the charitable organization “Charitable Foundation SHCHEDRYK” traditionally joined in writing the Radio Dictation of National Unity, which took place at the Mark Kropyvnytskyi Central Library.
The text of the dictation “We Must Live,” written by author Yevgenia Kuznetsova, has become extremely symbolic and true. It describes our steadfastness, our ability to remain optimistic even during shelling, and to find space for creativity, such as composing songs about a mine-detecting dog.
The words that stuck with me were: “You have to love your home, even if it’s temporary and far from your real one—the one in your heart.”
“These words are close to our hearts, because our organization employs internally displaced persons, and we constantly care for this category of people. Therefore, as representatives of a charitable foundation, we can say that the main goal of this day has been achieved. We came together and united—both as the Mykolaiv community and as all of Ukraine—and remembered everything…” said Yelyzaveta Kholyavko, public relations and press specialist at the Shchedryk Charitable Foundation.
